Building on the Morph Tile and Conditional definitions I use the measurement of the component area as a method of choosing between an open and closed component. Definition here. Length: 23.15
Typical things that want changing are splines, i.e. general NURBS curves Shower Caps that are not arcs or strains, and 3D surfaces. Some desktop machine methods are not in a position to} understand circular arcs either, so every thing should be converted into polylines. A special relatively easy computer language that a CNC machine can understand and execute. These languages have been originally developed to program parts instantly on the machine keyboard with out the aid of|assistance from|the assist of} a CAM program.
Generative Design Computing.net
is a site that focuses on the utilization of computers in the design and fabrication of architecture, objects, installations, experimental work... The site primarily functions in support of several classes that I conduct at the Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning at the University of Michigan. They are Arch 591: Generative Design Computing, Arch 571: Digital Fabrication, and Arch 421: Geometric Modeling in addition to Graduate Design Studios. The site is also both an archive of video tutorials generated from those courses and a digital sketchbook of student work and related digital productions. In addition to teaching I’m also part of the design practice (area-architecture.com)

very resourceful, thanks for sharing. would there be a way to designate which section on the surface has the open or closed geometry?
